Phentermine.
Phentermine is an anti-obesity pill taken by obese patients to fight their food cravings and start losing weight consistently. It's important to remember that simply taking this medicine is not going to make your treatment more efficient. You will need to tell your doctor if you are currently taking any of the following medications: guanethidine, antidepressants, oral insulin or diabetes medications, guanadrel, or high blood pressure meds. You must not take phentermine if you have recently taken tranylcypromine, selegiline, phenelzine, isocarboxazid, or rasagiline, as these drugs can cause interactions with phentermine that are very dangerous and must be avoided. It's also very important to let your doctor know if you have any medical problems that may potentially prevent you from taking this medicine. The following ones are important to mention: problems with your thyroid, diabetes, heart disease, glaucoma, a history of drug or alcohol abuse, high blood pressure, seizure disorder, anxiety disorder, or arteriosclerosis. In general phentermine is tolerated very well, especially if you take it as recommended and only a few mild side effects – such as chest pain, diarrhea, itching, dizziness, headache, constipation, feeling anxious, and dry mouth, are possible.
